 The Best Choice Vote The Action Team: New Leadership for Local 1407

1.     We will not accept zeroes in any future contract negotiations.

2.     We will keep the workers informed on contract negotiations.

3.     We will protect the workers and fight reclassification of titles.

4.     We will hold chapter meetings to discuss employee concerns.

5.     We will push to drop the residency requirements.

6.     We will be fiscally accountable to the membership. 

7.     We will oppose placing our members under the supervision of non-professionals.

8.     We support one member one vote in the election of DC- 37 Officers. (This is the first step in bringing democracy to DC-37.)

9.     We will hire a lawyer to expedite grievances (especially deplorable working conditions).

10.   We will hire a lobbyist to:

a)    Request a 55/25 Pension Re-opener.

b)    Add a modified 55/30-pension plan.

c)     Fight for additional longevity after 12 years.

Embarrassed to read that our Union of Accountants cannot balance its books?  Then it’s time for a change!
